Acceptance
There was once a boy who desperately wanted everyone to like him.
Each day, he would carefully plan his actions, thinking of new ways to be accepted. He saved his lunch money to buy gifts for the girls
and tried to impress the guys with jokes and clever remarks.
But no matter what he did, his efforts always seemed to fall short, and any progress was fleeting in his social world.
Over time, he grew tired—tired of the endless chase for approval.
So, he stopped caring about fitting in.
Instead, he focused on his goals and stopped reaching outward for validation.
Gradually, acceptance seemed to find him.
It was as if the validation came from within,
like he had to accept himself first before others could.
Being genuine is not just a gift to others, but to yourself.
When you stop trying to be what others expect and start being who you truly are,
the right people will see you for who you really are—and that is enough.
Rule #1
Give freely.
Expect nothing.
Appreciate everything.
Balance
As children, our focus is simple: enjoy the moment.
Everything is a game, and life is a carefree stroll, without a worry in the world.
But as we grow, the shift begins.
We start taking life more seriously.
Goals are set, time is sacrificed, and the joy of the present is traded for the promise of a brighter future.
Over time, it's easy to forget those simple joys.
The more we focus on what's ahead, the more we lose the magic of the moment.
For many, the goals we achieve bring only temporary happiness,
and soon, our restless minds are already searching for the next task.
Living like this can make life feel unnecessarily hard.
But if you can find that one thing that ties it all together, suddenly all those separate goals merge into one.
Everything takes on deeper meaning, converging to that single point of clarity.
Balance is key.
Try too hard, and it slips away. Try too little, and it never comes at all.
Create the space for it, and it will appear on its own.
Life will begin to flow.
Rule #1
Find your center.
Maintain your rhythm.
Protect your energy.
Perspective
The path of life...
We all walk it but each in our own unique way,
making it the same and different at the same time.
Where one person sees a 6,
another sees a 9,
and another may see something else.
This is how one thing can be viewed in
countless ways,
each still remaining valid.
Our inner world reflects our outer world.
Our perspective focuses our goals.
Family, Fortune, Fame...
...the journey of self-discovery
The more you know yourself,
the more you know others,
the more you know the world.
Rule #1
Change it,
Leave it,
Or Accept it.
Compromise
One day, he set out on a solo road trip.
With only a general direction in mind,
he left the route unplanned.
At first, he hesitated...
accustomed to sharing decisions,
he found it unsettling to rely solely on himself.
He knew what he wanted,
but still, he paused.
Then something shifted.
He began following his impulses:
stopping at a random bar,
veering off for an unplanned hike,
crossing a border to visit a friend,
changing course on a whim.
In doing so,
he started to uncover his true desires,
free from the influence of others.
It was exhilarating.
Empowering.
When he returned home, he let it all settle.
He realized how often we limit ourselves,
compromising when we don't have to.
We all want things.
But we share this world with others.
Sometimes we intrude on them,
sometimes they intrude on us.
And sometimes,
we intrude on ourselves.
Compromise is necessary for harmony,
but knowing when to compromise is key.
And knowing the difference between
need and want is essential.
When you know your worth,
you gain power and freedom as
the quality of your time increases.
Time is precious and attention is currency.
Spend it wisely.
Rule #1
You must save yourself,
before you can save the world.
Lead by example.
Mutually Exclusive
A while back I remember going to religious classes
and one evening running into one of the priests.
I asked him something that had been on my mind...
If someone was not of the faith
but still a good person,
could they still go to heaven?
At the time was learning how to live righteously
and through my years have met many good people
of different faiths.
However,
I was also told
that if someone was not of the faith,
they could not go to heaven,
which I began to question.
If the purpose of religion was salvation,
and the path to that was how you lived your life,
it should not matter what faith you practiced.
The priest smiled and calmly said...
...what matters most is being good.
That simple truth resonated deeply.
We can lose sight of the bigger picture at times
and become defensive when our faith comes into question.
It is in those moments that faith is tested
we are reminded of its deeper meaning...
...its very nature is the big picture.
Rule #1
Until you face all your demons,
you will never reach your full potential...
Carpe Momentum
Earlier on my road trip,
I tried to document everything,
which started to take a toll on the moment.
I found myself forcing situations,
to get a good shot,
which became awkward.
Shifting to a more natural approach,
with less focus on documenting
and more focus on the moment,
it came to me.
The outer world reflects the inner world,
where they meet is the present,
this appreciation allows everything to flow.
At times reaching repels
and opening your hands attracts.
The moment is the space
it all unfolds.
